Safeguarding

Protecting Those in Need

Working with homeless people is a responsibility we at the Capuchin Day Centre do not take lightly. We are fully committed to child safeguarding and the protection of vulnerable adults and have developed a Safeguarding Policy accordingly.

We have developed our Policy in line with best practice and in consultation with the Safeguarding office of the Irish Capuchin Franciscan Province.

Our Safeguarding Statement, Child Protection Policy and Procedures provide policy guidelines and operational procedures to ensure that all staff, volunteers and those who access the service are provided with clear guidance in respect of any concerns regarding Child Safety.

We ensure that all staff and volunteers are fully Garda vetted. In addition, we have an appointed Designated Child Protection Officer who coordinates our Services to Families.
