Ways to Donate

No-One Goes Hungry

The services we provide at the Capuchin Day Centre are funded almost entirely by donations from individuals and companies and through fundraising activities.

All our activities are designed to help us advance our mission and values: to enhance the quality of life of homeless people and minimise exposure to poverty and hunger for every man, woman or child seeking our support.  In a world of abundance, no-one should go hungry.

How Can You Help

Give a Little, Help a Lot

We know that The Capuchin Day Centre could do nothing without the ongoing support and commitment of its donors, and we are incredibly grateful to those who provide the resources that keep us going. But of course, the need never lessens, and the services we provide are needed more than ever as food poverty in Dublin grows at a rapid rate. If you’d like to help us make a difference, please think about contributing in one of these important ways:

Regular Volunteering

Volunteering regularly at the Capuchin Day Centre is a rewarding way to give back to the community. Our Volunteers assist with meal preparation, serving food and providing a friendly presence to those who visit the centre. Your time and effort can make such a difference in the lives of many.

Corporate Volunteering

If you’re a business that’s serious about social responsibility and making an impact – consider involving your employees in meaningful community service. Many companies organise group volunteering days where employees work together to support the Centre’s activities. This helps the Centre while fostering great team spirit and spreading a strong message of social value within the company.

Donations

Donations are of course crucial in helping the Capuchin Day Centre continue its work:

Monetary Donations

Financial contributions help the Centre maintain its services and expand its reach. You can make a one-time donation or set up a recurring donation to provide ongoing support.

CHY Tax Rebate

Did you know we are entitled to claim a tax rebate on any donations that exceed €250 in any calendar year by way of a CHY form. A donation of €250 allows us to claim an additional €112, which means the total value of a €250 donation will be €362. If you would like to receive a CHY form, please email donate@capuchindaycentre.ie  and we will send you the form.

Food and Clothing Donations

Donating food and clothing is another impactful way to help. We accept non-perishable food items, fresh produce and gently used clothing. These essential donations go directly to those in need, providing them with basic, day-to-day support.

Thank You!
